For the first time in a few years, BC Bee Supply is proud to once again offer honeybees in Carrier Tubes that provide ventilation and a tight area for the bees to cluster during travel. Plus, this is the easiest installation system for novices to get the bees into their new hive.

These imported "Packaged Bees" are from New Zealand and are available in this format for a very limited basis - 1 date in March!

Purchase this product and we will let you know when to pick up from our Burnaby location.

These honeybee colonies are raised outside of Canada in areas with little to no varroa mites and are packed to the highest standard to bring you viable bees at the top of Spring 2024.

This product purchase is a prepaid reservation for an imported package of honeybees that will be available between March (and possibly April) 2024.

These "Packaged Bees" or "Imported Packages" are bundled with a mature queen in Australia or New Zealand. They include approximately 2-3 pounds of bees plus the queen held within mesh, breathable container. Colonies are inspected by the federal government upon arrival and can safely travel in a vehicle.

When you place an order online prior to speaking with us we will follow-up with you some time before or in March 2024. Packaged Bees are generally available some time in March or April, depending on weather and the growth rate of the bees.

Pick up date and time will be emailed to you about 1 week in advance.

Note on Honeybee Stock: These imported bees are contained in a mesh box for a few days and have undergone international flights and time zone changes. The bees originate from mite free areas and are deemed treated and healthy upon arrival to Canada.

Methods of mite treatment or hive manipulation may vary depending on seasonal weather and timing of nuc pick up.

Note on Livestock Policy: Packaged bee colonies become the responsibility of the customer once they have been picked up from BC Bee Supply. While we make every effort to provide support, advice, or additional product in the event of reported difficulty, there are many different factors outside of our control which impact the success of these colonies once they have left the pick up point. Therefore, BC Bee Supply cannot and does not guarantee the development, establishment, and realization of a successful colony once the nuc is picked up.
